Centennial Day Proclamation
Alto, MI – October 7, 2019 – At their regular monthly meeting the Alto Downtown Development Authority of Bowne Township/Alto recognized the Alto American Legion Auxiliary Unit 528 on their 100th Anniversary with a Centennial Day Proclamation.
The DDA has proclaimed November 10, 2019 as “American Legion Auxiliary Centennial Day”.
The American Legion was founded and chartered by Congress in 1919. The American Legion Auxiliary was also founded that same year to support the Legion in their efforts to honor the sacrifices of those who served and to assist veterans and their families at home and abroad in any way that we can.
