We received the following press release from the Lowell Area Fire Department.
The Lowell Area Fire Department will be hosting open tryouts on July 29th at 7:00 pm. The purpose of the open tryout will be to establish a hiring list for our part-time / paid on call staff.
Interested candidates must be at least 18 years old, have completed High School, have a valid drivers license, and live in our coverage district (Lowell Township, the City of Lowell, or Vergennes Township).
All candidates will submit to a written exam, physical agility exam, oral interview, medical physical including drug screening, and a background investigation. All Firefighter and EMT training will be funded by the Department.
