Press Release: Friends of the Englehardt Library Winter Book Sale

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Winter Book Sale

In this gift-giving season, it makes so much sense to give a gift that can be opened again and again. Turning the pages and reading a book opens the mind to new adventures, learning and entertainment.

The Friends of the Englehardt Library are sponsoring a Used Book Sale on Saturday, December 7, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the library community room at 200 N Monroe in Lowell Michigan. All paperbacks are $.50 and all hardcovers, DVDs, CDs and audiobooks are $1.00.

“Everything celebrating the holidays in Lowell kicks off the first weekend in December,” said book sale chairperson, Sandy Eby. “We want to draw shoppers into the library to shop for good deals at great prices. Generous donations of books from patrons, combined with good quality books gleaned from the library shelves provides shoppers with a wide range of choices from baby board books to some of the bestsellers in adult fiction. There will be something for everyone at this sale!”

The Friends use the proceeds of all seasonal book sales to help fund library programming, such as the four monthly book discussion groups and special youth programming focusing on kids and computer program coding. All programs offered at the Englehardt Library are free to the public.

“The Friends believe a vibrant library is the heart of the community. We are dedicated to helping make our library a place of education, entertainment and refuge to the people of Lowell and the surrounding area,” added Eby.
