Press Release: Jon Rocha Announces Campaign For State House

We received the following press release from Jon Rocha, candidate for the 78th House District.

(Lowell, MI)—Jon Rocha, a United States Marine Corps Veteran endorsed by President Trump, officially kicked off his campaign for State Representative in the 78th District Thursday morning.

“I’m running for State Representative to declare war on ‘business as usual’ in Lansing,” Rocha said. “Enough is enough. We need to take back our state from the lobbyists and special interests. It’s time to put taxpayers and families back in charge.”

Rocha says Lansing politicians have hurt the state, and voters deserve better.

“I’m not running to make friends. I’m running because I’m passionate about fighting for a brighter future for our community,” Rocha said. “I know we can do much better than Gretchen Whitmer, and the lapdogs in the Legislature who have allowed her to run wild. What they have done to our state the last two years is evil.”

Rocha pulled no punches commenting on the new Auditor General report showing the Whitmer Administration covered up thousands of COVID deaths at senior care facilities.

“Gretchen Whitmer should face a criminal investigation for turning our nursing homes into COVID death camps,” Rocha said. “She sent COVID patients in, people died because of her decision, and then she tried to cover up the death toll. That sounds like murder to me.”

Rocha also blasted the Michigan Democrat Party for a recent social media post attacking parental rights in education.

“The radical leftists at the Michigan Democrat Party slipped up, and revealed how much they actually hate parents,” Rocha said. “Parental control is the foundation of our public school system. I’ll never let politicians or bureaucrats ignore the Inalienable rights of parents in the administration of Michigan’s public schools.”

More information about Rocha is available on his campaign website.
