Lowell Little League Needs Your Help!
Lowell Little League Parents,
Lowell Little League is dangerously close to shutting down. As many of you know, Little League is a starting point for your child to get involved in youth sports. The League Board NEEDS YOUR HELP! We are currently short of help in several key positions and could use 4 more Board members and several other willing people to be involved in helping run the league.
Our league is a 501-3c non-profit under the direction of Little League International. Every few years, as the current board members’ children decide to move on from the sport or outgrow the league, we have turnover. The upcoming 2019 season will experience these changes in leadership once again and we need help to fill the gaps and aid in the daily duties of the league.
The success of the Lowell Little League program rests on it volunteers and community members. The program helps kids stay active while learn life skills only sports can teach. Little League helps kids learn a team sport, proper sportsmanship, and helps create lifelong friendships. It also allows them to be part of a wonderful community that supports each other. We work together, grow together, and learn together. Without the involvement of parents, the League struggles to meet the needs of the players and community. Volunteering your time, whether on the board or not, allows you to stay involved in your child’s activities as well as to ensure a productive program. There are many activities you can assist with including:
Registrations
Marketing
Coaching
Field Director
Player Agent for a Division
Volunteer recruitment
Concession stand volunteers
Field maintenance
Sponsorships
Umpire Coordinator
Promoting our League during community events
The Lowell Little League invites you to a meeting November 1, 2018 at 6pm at Spring Training (on main street behind McDonalds) . Please consider helping the league continue. Please RSVP by emailing Courtney and Mike at [email protected] to let them know you’ll attend.
