Lowell YMCA to Host Annual Turkey Trot Family Fun Run
5K Family Fun Run at Wittenbach Wege Center
Lowell, MI (November 3, 2021) – The Lowell YMCA will host the annual Turkey Trot, a family fun 5k trail run/walk through the beautiful Wittenbach Wege Center trails on Saturday, November 13th. Proceeds benefit Livestrong cancer survivor program at the Lowell YMCA.

Since 2013, the Lowell YMCA has provided the12-week Livestrong program to adult cancer survivors. Participants work with trained Y staff to improve cardiovascular endurance and functional ability, build muscle mass and strength, and increase flexibility. In addition to physical benefits, the program also focuses on the mental and emotional well-being of survivors and their families. This creates a supportive community environment where people affected by cancer can connect during treatment and beyond. Through the generous support of area donors, the Livestrong program has been able to provide support at no cost to cancer survivors in the Lowell community.
