We received the following press release from Vergennes Township. It is our understanding that some local Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts will be present for the ceremony which will include some short remarks along with the dedication.

The Township of Vergennes will be dedicating the new flag at the new Township Hall at 69 Lincoln Lake Ave NE on Friday, September 10, at 5 p.m.
The flag, the symbol of our country, will then be lowered to half-mast on September 11, in order to mourn the loss of 2997 Americans who lost their lives in an attack on September 11, 2001.
