Scenes from Lowell: 2018 Graduation Edition

There was a lot to celebrate this past Thursday night as the Class of 2018 said farewell to Lowell High School. Here’s a look at their graduation ceremony. All photos are courtesy of Nicki Videto Photography.

As is tradition, the ceremony starts off with the senior class processing down the hill, with teachers in the lead, to Bob Perry Field.

It wouldn’t be a graduation ceremony without Pomp and Circumstance, and the Lowell High School band was there to play that along with Ocean Ridge Rhapsody and the Recessional.

Principal Amy Pallo offered some opening remarks.

Then it was the students’ turn to address the crowd. Evan Johnson, above, started off the Address to the Class of 2018 and was followed by Emily Kropf, Salutatorian Darby Dean and Valedictorian Brianna Roest.

Next up: diplomas! This graduation ceremony had special meaning for Superintendent Greg Pratt as his son (both shown above) was part of the Class of 2018.

Special recognition was given to those members of the class who would be going on to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Congratulations to the LHS Class of 2018!
