On September 14, downtown Alto transformed into a lively hub for the annual Alto Fall Festival and Car Show. Families and friends gathered under perfect weather to enjoy a day filled with activities, food, and entertainment.
The event kicked off with a pancake breakfast, fueling attendees for the day ahead. Children were delighted with the petting zoo, inflatables, and a scavenger hunt.
Collin Green was working the scavenger hunt when we caught up with him. His father, Brian Green, co-owner of Green’s R & R Wrecker Service and a festival sponsor, attended with his family.
Local vendors lined the streets, offering handmade goods, from soaps to bracelets.
Larry F. and his wife, who moved to the area recently, shared their love for the festival, hinting at the possibility of bringing their own food truck next year. “We feel a sense of community here,” Larry remarked.
Else Carey, the emcee, noted that her mom has been the mastermind behind the festival for years while her dad focuses on organizing the car show. “The day is meant to bring people into town and offer a fun, free event for the community,” she said.
Live music from Prior Noon provided the perfect soundtrack as festival-goers strolled through the streets.
With sunshine overhead and smiles all around, the Alto Harvest Festival and Car Show proved once again to be a day of joy and connection for the community.
