Presented by Lowell Arts, the Fallasburg Arts Festival held its 53rd annual event over the weekend.
The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful for the return of the event after going virtual last year. Beginning at 10 am on Saturday the 18th, folks were already filling parking lots and making their way into Fallasburg Park to get their fill of fine arts and crafts, delicious food, and excellent live music.
Each year, local non-profit organizations provide food booths and refreshments where attendees can support their cause while enjoying their favorite festival foods.
Though the event is free, the $5 parking fee and proceeds from prize raffles go towards events and programs by Lowell Arts.
Due to COVID, Lowell Arts took precautions by putting on a scavenger hunt for kids as opposed to the usual hands-on crafts, and free masks were available at their information booth and wipes were provided at picnic tables.
Local artists showcased their talents with a variety of fine art and craft booths, with something for everyone to appreciate and enjoy. From stained glass to oil paintings…
To homemade brooms and woven rugs…
And a variety of creations from all types of mediums…
The Fallasburg Arts Festival hosts 25,000 attendees every year with more than 150 volunteers who assist in the planning and organizing of the event. More information about the annual festival can be found online.
