Scenes from Lowell: Good-Bye Summer, Hello Fall Edition

It’s Labor Day weekend and that means summer, if not officially over, is for all practical purposes over. It also means it’s time for cider, school and Red Arrows football!

Although it didn’t quite make it up in time for summer play this year, playground equipment is going in at the North Grand River Riverfront Park behind Walgreens.

But the kids are all going back to school so they will have plenty of opportunity to play on their school’s playground equipment instead.

And lots of kids were on hand to play on the equipment during the back-t0-school picnic at St. Patrick School.

Other students played inside during the preschool Meet-the-Teacher night.

The start of school also means the Red Arrows football team is back in action.

On Friday, fans packed the Rockford stands to see the Red Arrows take on the Rockford Rams.

Lowell came out on top, winning 14-0.

Don’t forget that next week’s game is not only a home game but also the 10th Anniversary Pink Arrow Game. It should be an amazing day with activities planned all afternoon and evening leading up to the big game. Dave Bray is even flying in to sing the National Anthem! Much of the event will be taped so let’s pack the stands and show everyone what Lowell is all about!

Stay tuned to Lowell’s First Look where we’ll have special articles about Pink Arrow Pride running all week long.
