Scenes from Lowell: Holiday Artists Market Edition

It’s Small Business Saturday on November 24th, and if you want an easy way to support multiple artisans and small business owners, head to the Holiday Artists Market at the LowellArts Gallery at 223 W. Main St. There, you’ll find artwork and handcrafted goods from more than 50 area artists.

If you can’t make it for Small Business Saturday, the market will open until December 23 to help you cross everyone off your holiday list. Regular market hours are:

  • Tuesdays-Saturdays: 10am-6pm
  • Sundays: 12pm-5pm

Plus, there will be a special Holiday Artists Market Open House on Monday December 10. The event runs from 6-8pm, and it’s your chance to shop while enjoying some free refreshments and live music.

As for what you’ll find at the market…well, you’ll find a little bit of everything. Here’s just a small glimpse at what’s available.

Felted wool balls are an inexpensive stocking stuffer that are designed to soften laundry. But we wouldn’t blame you for buying a few and simply using them for decorations.

The market also has lots of wall decor, including these festive wreaths.

And you couldn’t have the Holiday Artists Market without pottery and ceramics. You’ll find a wide variety of both practical and decorative pieces available in the LowellArts gallery right now.

There are items that are a little funky.

And some that you probably won’t find anywhere else, such as this standing clock.

For the person who has everything, you’ll find a wide assortment of tree ornaments and wall hangings.

There are options for almost anyone’s taste and decor.

Woodwork is also well-represented at the market with one vendor offering a display of unique boxes.

Metalwork also makes an appearance at the LowellArts Holiday Artists Market…

…as do textiles

While many of the items for sale can be used year-round, there are some seasonal items like this felted Santa.

These mittens are sure to keep your hands toasty this winter.

If you like jewelry, several vendors have items that range from small and delicate to big and bold.

Did we mention the pottery? Well, it deserves another photo since there are so many great pieces to be found.

When you leave, this jaunty couple will be waiting to wish you well. Hopefully, you will have found some treasures and gifts to show them on your way out the door.
