Scenes from Lowell: Pink Arrow Quiver Edition

This morning was the annual Pink Arrow Quiver run.  Participants lined up along Avery Street waiting for the start of the race.

Prior to the race, runners were able to pick up their numbers and shirts.  Part of the police garage served as part of the staging area.

Cheerleaders at the start/finish and throughout the course encouraged runners.

After listening to the National Anthem, it was time to run!

Signs along the course provided direction to runners.  There were also police vehicles at intersections providing guidance and traffic control.

The final stretch of the course had runners along the Riverwalk.

Then a final turn back on to Avery provided a look at the finish line.

Cheerleaders, friends and family of racers, and those who finished the race all gather at the finish line.

After the conclusion of the 5k, a kids’ fun run took place.

This year’s Pink Arrow Quiver is in the books.  The next big race in Lowell is the Harvest Hustle on October 13.
