Scenes from Lowell: Senior Neighbors Gather Again

Senior Neighbors opened its doors last week for the first time since the start of the pandemic. “We had a great first day back today in Lowell after 16 months of being closed!” said Lowell Senior Neighbors Coordinator Terra Bieneman. Seniors were welcomed back with decorations, donuts, and the return of some of their favorite activities.  They played Hand and Foot, had a sing-along, and participated in bingo. Bieneman said everyone “enjoyed being back together laughing and socializing”.

Senior Neighbors has multiple locations. The Lowell center is located at 314 South Hudson. Those 60 and over are invited to gather with friends, meet new friends, and participate in games and programming daily Monday through Friday with lunch served for a minimal price.
