Opening night for The Dixie Swim Club is two days away. Lowell’s First Look had exclusive look behind the scenes during rehearsal earlier this week. Prior to this week rehearsals have taken place at the LowellArts building. A new element is added when props and costumes are used and actresses must learn to interact with the set in addition to each other.
Director Randi Richardson is making sure her cast know their lines, cues, and how to traverse the stage with ease. Lisa Erb, Laurie Kuna, Martha Hayden, Diana Roush, and Deanna Small will use this week to perfect their performances becoming one with the characters they portray.
Below are photos from rehearsal on stage at Larkin’s Other Place. They will be void of the usual Scenes from Lowell commentary. No plot spoilers will be found here! Tickets are still available and can be purchased online or by going to or calling LowellArts. Show dates are October 20, 21, 27, 28, November 2, 3, and 4 with dinner 6:30pm and the performance at 7:30. Saturday, October 28 at 2:30pm there will be a show only matinée. Reserved tickets are required for dinner. Tickets for just the show will be available at the door provided the performance has not sold out.
