The Lowell Riddler: Riddle #11 Revealed!

There is a new game in town. The Lowell Riddler is hiding medallions in the City of Lowell for residents to find and turn in for gift cards to local businesses. The 11th riddle is below along with all the details. There is also a .pdf at the end that can be downloaded and printed.

Note: This riddle has been solved!

The Lowell Riddler sent us two new items with the riddle this week. The first is a map of the locations of all the previous medallions. That is posted at the end of this article, and each red dot represents a previous medallion.

The second thing was this:

Now, the good news is that this donation should ensure there will be enough prizes to keep the riddles coming for a while, and The Lowell Riddler is using some of the cash to offer bonus Lowell Bucks this week. The bad news is: this is The Joker! We’ve seen the movies, and we’re not sure about having super villains teaming up, even for a good cause. If The Penguin shows up next, we might need to see about installing a Bat-Signal on City Hall.

But for now, as The Joker would say, let’s put a smile on that face…here’s what else The Lowell Riddler sent us:

Carrot Top makes it pop. His name’s kinda funny
Another quirk: a boss at work can help you find the money
Four walls thick and made of brick yet there’s nothing to them
Like all clues, they’re only news if you can see through them

Riddle prize package #11 is sponsored by the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce with Lowell Bucks
and The Flat River Cottage with a gift certificate.

Also included is an anonymous donation of gift cards
for Sweet Seasons and Main Street BBQ!

The Riddler is celebrating his 10th solved riddle with a $50 Lowell Bucks bonus for Riddle #11 (thanks to an anonymous contributor, calling himself The Joker). The bonus is only paid if Riddle #11 is found by 6:00PM Saturday.

LET’S HAVE SOME FUN!

Here’s what you’re looking for:

When you find the medallion: Take it with you and treat it like a lottery ticket! It is yours to keep as a memory of riddling expertise. Immediately, take a selfie while holding the medallion and email the selfie, your name, the location you found it and your mailing address and phone number to [email protected]. Lowell’s First Look may want to interview you and publish your selfie! Your address is needed to send your prize package.

Always remember: The medallion is accessible 24 hours a day by the public. For now, it will always be hidden in the City of Lowell. It will never be on private property. It will never be buried in the ground. You may have to move grass, snow or leaves to see it. It is no higher than five feet above ground or it may be hanging on a string. Your participation in this activity is purely voluntary. If at any time you believe that the search conditions are unsafe or that you are unable to participate due to physical or medical conditions, then please discontinue participation. And please respect icy, slippery conditions and crossing busy streets.

And don’t forget: The Riddler welcomes prize donations of gift cards and Lowell Bucks! Let’s “Riddle It Forward” and boost Lowell businesses and create some fun at the same time! Send those gift cards, Lowell Bucks and questions to [email protected] or to The Lowell Riddler, P.O. Box 883, Ada, MI 49301. Your generosity will be mentioned as a prize sponsor a couple times unless you prefer to be anonymous.
