The Lowell Riddler: Riddle #11 Solved!

The Lowell Riddler is hiding medallions in the City of Lowell and offering area residents the chance to win a prize of local gift cards. Look for a new clue or riddle each Saturday!

To celebrate hitting the milestone of 10 riddles solved, The Lowell Riddler threw in a bonus prize for Riddle #11. If the medallion was found by 6pm on Saturday night, the winner would get an extra $50 in Lowell Bucks. That proved to be no problem for Isis Lett who found the medallion in about an hour. Here’s what the winner had to say about this week’s riddle:

All your riddle clues made sense this week – a Carrot Top building which is the Red top pavilion (yes, we used Google Earth to look for it). The open sides because there are brick walls but nothing to them.

Here’s what else The Lowell Riddler sent us when announcing the winner and the answers behind the riddle:

Congratulations!

Isis Lett from Lowell!

She won a prize pack that includes Lowell Bucks from the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce
and a gift certificate from The Flat River Cottage.

Also included is an anonymous donation of gift cards
for Sweet Seasons and Main Street BBQ!

Plus a BONUS $50 in Lowell Bucks from an anonymous donation!

Here are the answers to the clue:

Carrot Top makes it pop. His name’s kinda funny
(Orange roof of trailhead pavilion)
Another quirk: a boss at work can help you find the money
(Foreman Street)
Four walls thick and made of brick
yet there’s nothing to them
(Pavilion has no walls)
Like all clues, they’re only news if you can see through them

(The medallion was lodged between bricks under the large
Dr. Bob Reagan donor plate above the brick wall)
