The Lowell Riddler: Riddle #3 Solved!

The Lowell Riddler is hiding medallions in the City of Lowell and offering area residents the chance to win a prize of local gift cards. Look for a new clue or riddle each Saturday!

After issuing a tough second riddle, The Lowell Riddler predicted the third medallion would be found by Sunday afternoon. Bob and Angie Padgett from Lowell had no trouble finding though and discovered its location on Saturday. In explaining how they came to find it, they correctly guessed the meaning of each part of the clue.

Here’s what The Lowell Riddler sent us when announcing the winner and the answers behind the riddle:

Here are the clues and the answers:

In the middle of winter,
in the middle of town (City Hall)
Hanging around the new playground (New Social District)
It won’t get there,
unless you get it right (Proper address/postage)
Don’t sing me the blues, (Big blue postal box)
because it’s not within sight (Mounted behind the mailbox)

  1. The “center of town” clue threw us a couple blocks off. We thought it meant the old Post Office which has always been considered the “center of town”. The postal clause fit. We thought for sure it was there. We couldn’t find anythis blue though.
