Dedication of Betsy’s Bench
May 20, 2023, at 10 a.m.
Betsy Davidson held a special place in the hearts of the Vergennes Township board and staff. She worked tirelessly in and for the township, not just in business but in truly serving her community. In her honor, the board and staff have raised personal funds to purchase a memorial bench to not just offer a place of rest on a trail, but to preserve her memory and encourage future generations to live like Betsy.
The Township of Vergennes will be dedicating the memorial bench on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. The bench is located on the Fred Meijer River Valley Rail Trail between Lincoln Lake Ave NE and 4 Mile Rd NE, Lowell MI
It is recommended that vehicles be parked at the Alton Bible Church parking lot, 2780 Lincoln Lake Ave NE, Lowell. There will be a shuttle service beginning at 9:30 to drop off attendees at the Lincoln Lake trail crossing. From there it is a ¼ mile walk to the bench.
