We received the following press release from the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce.
Lowell, MI, June 2, 2020 – Who would have thought that after 25 years of a Lowell tradition, we would have to take a pause? The Lowell Area Chamber Board of Directors, along with input from the City of Lowell, made the heartbreaking decision to cancel the 26th Annual Lowell Riverwalk Festival July 9-11, 2020.
While many people are ready to get out and enjoy life it has become apparent that there are too many obstacles to overcome. This has been an extremely hard decision. Please know that we are making it with our community’s health first and foremost in mind. We also feel that it is extremely important for the Chamber to play by the rules, set forth in the Governor’s Executive orders and reduce the spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
So, we are taking this time to ensure that next year’s event will be a smashing success! Please continue to watch our website (www.riverwalkfestival.org) as we prepare for next year’s event.
