Kick-off the holiday shopping season in Historic Downtown Lowell and the Greater Lowell Area during the 31st Annual Christmas Through Lowell event on November 17, 18, and 19, 2023.
Christmas through Lowell is a three-day shopping extravaganza, sponsored by the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce. The event attracts shoppers from all over Michigan, from Traverse City to Detroit and beyond. Sixty-eight homes, area churches and local businesses set the stage for over 350 vendors, providing unique and magical settings to start the holidays off right. Gifts, creations, and merchandise are abundantly showcased with most locations having multiple vendors at each stop.
During the Christmas Through Lowell weekend, you will find hand-made treasures, jewelry, Christmas decorations, folk art and fine art, antiques and re-found treasures, primitives and yard art, stained glass, crocheted and knitted crafts, hand-crafted purses, bags and totes, home-made rugs and quilts, and much, much more. Printed guidebooks and maps are available at participating Lowell businesses and the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce to begin planning your three-day route. The Christmas Through Lowell guidebooks will also be available at all stops during the tour.
Hungry shoppers can dine in one of Lowell’s delightful restaurants or one of several Christmas Through Lowell locations serving lunch during the event.

2023 Featured Christmas Through Lowell Artist
Eclectic Finds, Location #15
Each year, the Christmas Through Lowell planning committee chooses one location as their Featured Artist to be highlighted throughout the event. The 2023 Christmas Though Lowell featured artist is Location #15, Eclectic Finds, displaying at 423 Suffolk, Lowell, MI 49331.
Jody Haybarker is the artist and organizer of Eclectic Finds. Unique to her story, Haybarker is the original creator of the Christmas Through Lowell event before it was given to the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce in 2013 to further develop and manage.
Haybarker’s handmade crafts include mostly wood products and refurbished furniture. Her specialty is uniquely inspired ornaments, Santas, snowmen, and more, with gifts ranging in price from $5 to $200.
When asked why she participates in Christmas Through Lowell, Haybarker states, “I love the whole atmosphere of the show. The sights and sounds and smells. The customers are so excited to come through the show and seem to appreciate the decorations and items we have for sale. I look forward to this show every year. When it is over, I start planning for the next year. I love everything about Christmas Through Lowell weekend.”
