We received the following information from Flat River Outreach Ministries about their June volunteers of the month.
For June we want to recognize our Foodmobile Leadership Team. This newly formed team (from left to right: Terri Cross, Stephanie Owen, Deb and John Stomzand) was put in place to help coordinate the monthly Foodmobile.
John starting volunteering at FROM in the fall of 2011 doing various jobs including Christmas Distribution and Commodities. In 2018, his wife Deb also began helping with Commodities. When the Foodmobile program was moved to FROM permanently, John and Deb began helping with that as well. Their daughters Teri and Stephanie had been thinking about volunteering and soon began helping with the Foodmobile alongside their parents.
They say that volunteering together “is another way for family time.” Adding, “Flat River Outreach Ministries does so much for the Lowell area. It’s a great place to give back.”
Thank you to John and Deb Stormzand and daughters Terri and Stephanie for volunteering and for making it a family event. We so appreciate your dedication to the Foodmobile and for helping serve your neighbors in need.
The June Foodmobile will take place on June 22 from 10:00-noon at FROM.
