Lowell Charter Township is excited to announce its first-ever Bridgefest, a community celebration taking place at Grand River Riverfront Park this Saturday, August 10. Most activities are scheduled for the north side of the park, which can be accessed off Bowes Road near the Fulton/Main Street intersection.
This family-friendly event will feature live music, food trucks, and a variety of activities for all ages. From disc golf and volleyball to historical exhibits and children’s entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Start your day with a burst of energy by joining the 5K race, followed by a friendly pickleball match. Music lovers can enjoy live performances throughout the day. For those seeking adventure, disc golf and volleyball courts await while history buffs can delve into Lowell’s past at the Betty Yeiter Fur Trade Interpretive Cabin. And let’s not forget the little ones – a “KidZone” filled with inflatable bounce houses is sure to keep them entertained.
As Township Supervisor Jerry Hale puts it, “We’re hosting this event to showcase our park and all that is available for our residents.” Bridgefest is intended to be more than just a festival; it’s an investment in the community’s well-being. Proceeds will help maintain and improve the park for generations to come.
To top it off, a delectable array of food trucks and free ice cream will satisfy any craving. So, gather your friends and family and prepare to experience the magic of Bridgefest. It’s more than just an event; it’s a celebration of Lowell’s vibrant spirit and its commitment to creating a thriving community.

Saranac is celebrating it’s 38th year of Bridgefest this August. Sad that Lowell could not, at the least, be original in the naming of their event if not the month.
