River Valley Credit Union Helps Those in the Community with Donation to Livestrong Program at the Lowell YMCA
Lowell, Michigan — July 15, 2021
For over ten years, River Valley Credit Union has offered its members a chance to skip their loan payment in June for a small fee. We then take $5 out of each skip fee to donate to a charity or program in the communities we serve. For the second year, we have chosen to donate to the Livestrong Program at the Lowell YMCA. This June, we donated $1,000 to help the Lowell YMCA offer the 12-week program at no charge for the cancer survivors and their families.

Contributing to the Livestrong Program at the Lowell YMCA is important to River Valley CU since so many people are either personally affected or know somebody that is affected by cancer. It was clear to River Valley CU to donate to this program because it’s a way they can help those affected locally. River Valley CU’s vision from the beginning has been about people helping people, and this program does just that.
