Scenes from Lowell: Pink Arrow Pride 2019 Edition

Friday’s Pink Arrow activities are in the books.  Throughout the day, high school students visited schools for pep rallies to get the district’s student population geared up for the big game.

However, prior to the Survivor and Honor Walk before the football game, volleyball and soccer games were also played.

Fans packed Bob Perry Stadium and cheer as cancer survivors entered.

The honoring of those who have survived cancer, are currently on a cancer journey, and remembering those who have passed away from the disease is always an important part of the Pink Arrow Pride festivities.  It’s also an emotional one for many.

Following the walk, it was time for the band to take the field in preparation for welcoming the 2019 Pink Arrow football players.

The student section is always ready for a Pink Arrow game.

After the coin toss, it was game time.

Special thanks to Heather Eveland, the official Pink Arrow photographer for allowing us to use some of her photos from the day’s activities.  The rest of her images can be viewed in this Facebook album.
