FROM Repair & Restore Event Scheduled for May 20

We received the following press release from FROM:

FROM (Flat River Outreach Ministries) is holding a spring clean-up event across our community on May 20.

Available to Lowell Area School District residents, FROM volunteers will assist with projects including: small outdoor repair, raking, gutter cleaning, trimming and other yard work.

Monica Light, FROM Program Manager, encourages anyone looking to have repairs or clean up at their home to call the FROM Connections Office at 616-897-8260 or sign up in person during weekly Food Pantry hours (Tuesday 2-4PM, Wednesday 5-7PM or Friday 10AM-Noon).

Space is limited. Registering does not guarantee a spot but does guarantee your application will be reviewed. Families who live in the Lowell Area School District and make 300% of the Federal Poverty Level or have an expressed need are eligible to register.

“We’re excited to provide this service again this year,” Light said about the event. “If you have outdoor projects at your home that you could use some help taking care of, call FROM.”

There are opportunities to sign up to receive this service, as well as volunteer at the event. Volunteer opportunities are open to individuals, families and groups!
