Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

My name is Thea! My birthday is 5/19/15. The staff here at MAS has told me that I’m without a doubt the cuddliest, snuggliest one here! I’m a lap dog at heart, and my favorite thing to do, paws down, is to be as close to my buddies as I can and share the love.

When I arrived at Mackenzie’s, I had heart worm, but I’m just about done with the treatment and am ready to start looking for my forever home! I’m not too fond of cats, so I’d prefer a home without one. Because of my heart worm restrictions, I haven’t been able to make any new canine companions here yet, but once I’m given the all clear, the staff at MAS will update my info!

Falon is a dainty loving young Lab mix. Her D.O.B. is 10/15/16. She is enjoying meeting new friends at Mackenzie’s. She has not been able to get out this winter much, as she came in with Heart worm. The great medical staff at MAS has treated her, and she is now clear for adoption. She likes her crate and did great for rides in the van with the wind blowing in her hair.

Vicky’s Pet Connection

Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens.  They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.

There is just something about Siamese cats that make them seem like the “royal family” of cats! They really are special and this beautiful siamese mix is no exception. This is Mew and she is around 5 years of age. Because cats are relatively long-lived (often 15-17 years) she is really still a vibrant girl! She is super social with people and wants to be right in the middle of the action. She has also enjoyed some dog friends in the past so gentle, friendly dogs are welcome. Other cats, on the other hand, are not appreciated by her so a feline-free house will be best. She’s something special so don’t delay in meeting her!

Carol’s Ferals

Carol’s Ferals specializes in trap, neuter, return (TNR), but they come across “friendlies” who are available for adoption. Here are their pets of the week.

HI, My name id Juniper.  I’m about 3 years.  I’m glad I was brought to Carol’s Feral because I needed lot of Dental and one of my toes fixed. I’m better now   I’m a sweet girl, and I love people. I also love a nice dish of wet food, so I’m hoping my new family will give me those treats too!

My name is Regan, and I came to CF in October 2017. I was rescued from trailer park where kids were kicking me. Thankfully, I was able to come to Carol’s where I’m awaiting a furever home! I’m a friendly guy, and I do okay with other cats but I’d also not mind being an only boy. I can get overstimulated easily, so I’ll need an experienced family to care for me.

Hi, I’m Zemira. I was rescued in February 2018 by a good Samaritan from Carol’s Ferals. I was very sick and had an infection, which led to my kittens being born sleeping. That was a very sad time for me, but I’m so glad that I was rescued and the volunteers here helped me to get healthy! I’m ready for a furever home of my own now! I’m approximately 3 years old and am looking for a quiet home of my own.
