Kent County Youth Agricultural Association Appoints New Executive Director

We received the following press release from the Kent County Youth Agricultural Association, which runs the Kent County Youth Fair in Lowell.

Grand Rapids, Michigan, March 7, 2023 — The Kent County Youth Agricultural Association (KCYAA) is excited to announce they have appointed a new Executive Director, Morgan Doyle. Morgan served as the KCYAA Interim Executive Director this past year. Through Morgan’s background in agriculture, from her childhood growing up in Kansas and her participation in the Kansas State Rodeo team, to being a member of the KCYAA Board of Directors, she has a real drive to continue the success of the organization.

“Morgan’s passion for the organization and its mission centered on creating opportunities for West Michigan youth to develop character and leadership traits through agricultural projects, made her the perfect choice to help lead our organization into the future.” said Bill Zaske, President of the KCYAA Board of Directors.

The KCYAA hosts the annual Kent County Youth Fair, which will be held on July 31 through August 5, 2023. The KCYAA is currently building a new venue, The Grand Agricultural Center of West Michigan (The Grand), on 140 acres located at 13995 Cascade Road in Lowell, MI. The Grand will serve as the future home for Kent County Youth Fair and other local, regional, and statewide events.

Morgan added, “The Grand will allow West Michigan to highlight the importance of agriculture by hosting a variety of exhibitions and showcases. By building a modern facility to host local, regional, and potentially national level events, will create more opportunities for our local youth to exhibit their projects and talents while staying locally in the West Michigan area.”

For over 88 years, the Kent County Youth Agricultural Association and the Kent County Youth Fair have created opportunities for youth to develop leadership skills, cultivate character traits, and nurture interest in the sciences, through our agricultural projects. We are proud of the role we play in creating our next generation of leaders.

Please help us welcome Morgan into her new role as Executive Director of the Kent County Youth Agricultural Association.
