False Bomb Threat Made in Lowell this Morning

We received the following press release from the Lowell Police Department.

On Thursday, June 13 2024, (at approximately 8:30am) the Lowell Police Department along with the Lowell Fire Department, Rockford Ambulance, the Kent County Sheriff’s Office and the Michigan State Police were called to Litehouse Foods on a report of a bomb threat.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit and Drone Operator along with a K-9 Unit from the Michigan State Police were able to determine there was no viable threat.

Lowell Detective Aubrey Culver, working with Litehouse management, was able to determine a suspect. This person was located and interviewed. The suspect was arrested on the charge of making a terroristic threat.

The suspect is lodged at the Kent County Correctional Facility. The identity of the suspect is being withheld pending arraignment.
