Lowell, Michigan – FROM (Flat River Outreach Ministries) will celebrate a milestone birthday in December – 25 years of service to the community.
Founded in 1998 by 13 local churches, FROM launched their first program, a Food Pantry, in the basement of the Lowell United Methodist Church. What started as a few boxes of food to a handful of households has grown to more than a dozen programs and services serving more than 1,000 households annually.
To celebrate this milestone, and to thank the community for their continual support, FROM is hosting an open house style birthday party November 16th from 4-7PM. The community is invited to enjoy cake and take an opportunity to check out the updates FROM has made to various rooms throughout their building. Staff and FROM Board Members will be throughout the building to answer any questions.
“We are so blessed by this community and the folks that came before us. We truly are standing on the shoulders of those who were instrumental in making FROM who we are today,” Wendie Preiss, FROM Executive Director, said. “We invite everyone to come out and celebrate with us and want to thank everyone who has helped provide hope, resources and gifts to our neighbors in need.”
