We received the following press release from the City of Lowell.
FOREMAN STREET BETWEEN HUDSON STREET AND LINCOLN AVENUE WILL BE CLOSED FROM JANUARY 18TH THROUGH JANUARY 22ND FOR MANHOLE REPAIRS.
DETOUR WILL BE LINCOLN AVENUE TO HUNT ST. PLEASE FOLLOW THE SIGNAGE.
WE APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
The City will be repairing a sanitary manhole on Foreman St. at the Hudson St. intersection. This work will require the street to be closed during the work and for a few days afterwards to allow the concrete to sufficiently cure and harden.
The work is set to begin on January 18th with the repair work to be completed within two days. Concrete will be placed around the manhole surface to help protect the structure. Cure time for the concrete is 3-5 days.
Barricades and detour signage will be place prior to the start of the work.
