Fun with FROM: Annie Link

Meet Annie Link who has been on board since 2016 and who is currently serving as Board Chair! Along with serving as the Chair, Annie is part of the Governance Committee and loves volunteering for Christmas Distribution. Let’s get to know Annie and what she loves about Flat River Outreach Ministries and the Greater Lowell Community!
How did you get involved at FROM?
In 2015, our family farm (SwissLane Farms) hosted a community event for our Centennial Celebration. We decided to use it as a fundraiser to promote FROM’s food pantry. We were able to donate over 300 gallons of milk!
Why is the work of FROM so important to you?
I love how it brings the churches in the Lowell area together for a common goal of demonstrating Christ’s love in our community no matter what! The special thing about FROM is how it is a full circle of blessings- whether you are volunteering, giving, or receiving.
What do you love about the Greater Lowell Community?
I love how the traditions that are passed down from generation to generation are mixed with new ideas and innovation (like Christmas Through Lowell, Youth Fair, Wrestling, etc…) Outside of her incredible work at FROM, she and her husband Jerry have 3 kids – Joanna attends Grand Valley State University, William and James are Senior and Junior at
Lowell Area Schools. They attend Impact Church and Annie is a club leader for the Alto Livestock 4H Group. She also shares, “I love running, camping, fishing, and thanks to 2020 I started cross country skiing and bought myself a bike!”
As you go grocery shopping this week, we encourage you to consider buying an extra gallon of milk, container of yogurt, cottage cheese, or cheese, and drop it off at Flat River Outreach Ministries to bless our community!
