The latest production of the LowellArts youth theater program takes the stage this weekend at the Lowell Performing Arts Center in Lowell High School.
Written by Deanna Stasse, Mayhem at Camp Marigold centers on Kat, who is all set to head to space camp. Instead, she finds herself at an arts and crafts camp which she thinks is boooring. Things liven up though when someone goes missing and a storm blows through the camp. Then Kat and her fellow campers need to dig deep to use every crafty tool they have in order to make it safely until morning.
LowellArts is only the third theater to put on this production meaning local audiences have the opportunity to see something fresh and new. The play, which is suitable for young audiences, is described as a comedy as well as a mystery and thriller.
Lowell audiences have three opporunities to see Mayhem at Camp Marigold:
- Friday, April 12 at 7:00pm
- Saturday, April 13 at 2:00pm
- Saturday, April 13 at 7:00pm
​Doors will open 30 minutes before showtime, and tickets can be purchased at the door for $10 or $5 for students with a valid student ID. Tickets can also be purchased online and in advance for $8.
