Rogers Neighborhood Realty Opens in Downtown Lowell

Amanda Rogers has been working for years as a real estate agent. After working through another agency, she decided rather than buying into a franchise, she would create her own business from the ground up. Rogers Neighborhood Realty is located in an office in downtown Lowell within the old Superior building.

“Being in business for myself is both freeing, and a lot of work.” says Rogers. “I’m looking forward to building a company based on the high level of service I provide to my clients, and replicating that culture with each agent that I bring on.” In order to open her own business in the real estate world, Rogers had to obtain her Broker’s license, which requires 90 hours of class work, a minimum number of years and transactions in the business, and passing a state exam. Afterward there are steps needed to create a company with the State including submitting an application to create a brokerage in the state, line up necessary insurances, and submit an application to the local multiple listing service (MLS) association where primary business will occur.

Having completed all of the obligatory tasks, Rogers is eager to welcome new and existing clients into her new office. She tries to be at the location from 11am – 2pm and meets with people primarily by appointment. When asked why she decided to start her business and have an office in Lowell, Rogers responded with, “I love my town.  I have lived here my entire adult life, my husband’s family has been here for at least 5 generations, and Lowell is just a great place to be!  The downtown area is gorgeous and active and I really have no desire to be anywhere else.”

Those who work with Rogers will still see “prompt and thorough communication, extensive marketing, great contacts, solid results, and full transparency throughout the process” at a convenient, local destination. The housing market continues to be hot in 2021. In Lowell, the average home sale price rose more than 4% from 2019 to 2020 according to Rogers. West Michigan is frequently in national lists of the the best place to live, work, and raise a family. Low interest rates and low inventory has Rogers predicting the market will continue to be hot throughout 2021.

Roger primarily serves areas within an hour of Lowell, however, she has been known to travel outside of this range if it becomes necessary for her clients.
