A new shopping destination is coming to Lowell, bringing together creativity and craftsmanship under one roof.
Gina Ladner is launching ThisThatOther, a vendor mall that will provide local artisans with a space to showcase their work while giving the community a unique place to shop. The store will be located at 96 E. Main St., in the former Milo’s location.
“I’m a small business supporting small businesses,” Ladner says, explaining her vision for the store.
With around 25 vendor spaces available, artisans will have the opportunity to design and personalize their areas to reflect their style and products. The mall will feature a range of handmade items, including woodworking, granite sculptures, jewelry, candles, skincare, and even wall art like photography and oil paintings.
Ladner’s inspiration for the business came from her own experiences as a vendor. She knows the challenges artisans face with packing, unpacking, and traveling to various locations. “This will make it convenient for the artisan to have it all in one place,” she explains.
Unlike traditional setups, ThisThatOther offers a commission-based model instead of charging rent for vendor spaces. Ladner hopes this approach will make it more accessible for artisans to grow their businesses.
After spending years in nursing and facing health challenges, Ladner wanted to pursue something different. Opening ThisThatOther has given her a new focus and a way to stay involved in the community while working within her capabilities.
“This is something less demanding but still meaningful,” she says. To prepare for the store’s opening, Ladner plans some light renovations to create a welcoming atmosphere, including fresh paint and updated flooring.
Ladner also hopes to host workshops at ThisThatOther, giving artisans a chance to share their skills. Current vendors and guest artisans will be invited to lead classes, offering opportunities for the community to learn something new.
Ladner plans to open the store by early February, ideally before Valentine’s Day. Tentative hours will be Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the store closed on Sunday and Monday.

With a focus on quality, creativity, and community, ThisThatOther, located in the heart of Lowell, promises to be a welcome addition to Main Street.
This is wonderful! I am very interested in exploring the opportunity your business will provide.
