Ware Rizzy: Solution to Mid-Winter Riddle

The Lowell Riddler’s nephew, Ware Rizzy, popped in with a mid-winter riddle. Rather than hiding a medallion, Ware Rizzy decided to release clues that people could riddle over at home — making the riddling accessible to everyone.

His first clue seemed to stump everyone with many guesses focused on farms in Alto. But the second clue made it clear that the location was in downtown Lowell, and Dawn Gable correctly guessed the solution just 18 minutes after the second clue was posted. Here’s the solution:

Congratulations to Dawn Gable and Angie Reedy!

Clue #1

‘Twas the night before Christmas all through.

(The House)

Not where you live, what you do.

(Piloting is What They Do)

Try to steer clear

(Captain’s Steering Wheel/Helm)

Of the mouse trap they fear.

(Steer Clear of Cattail Bend)

Not all of them have one. Some do.

(Pilot House)

Clue #2

Three stories up you go.

(Third Floor of the Lowell Showboat)

Remember to go with the flow.

(Flow of the River)

Don’t break when you bend

(Cattail Bend)

It all came to an end.

(Original Lowell Showboat Productions)

But still, they go on with the show.

  1. Congratulations to my riddling partner Angie Reedy. Comments weren’t conducive to both our names.
