Warning, my good boy cuteness level is over 9,000!
As a canine connoisseur of treats, anyone with a snack is alright in my book! I would describe my personality as infectiously happy – I have a way of wiggling my nub tail into the hearts of most anyone that I meet! I am just so ready to settle into enjoying the rest of my life with my new family. While my bed is probably the best place on planet Earth, I also deeply enjoy the outdoors. Which makes me a perfect mix of energy for a moderately active family that enjoys the best of both worlds. And although I adore people of all ages, I do appreciate that my things are my things.
I have spent some quality time forming canine friendships at the Sanctuary. However, I don’t seem to have any interest in befriending other male dogs…so I guess you could call me a lady’s man! And I will straight up kamehameha any of the neighborhood cats from our yard…so a home without cats would be best for me.
If you are ready to add a dash of this handsome-hound to your life, “Come forth, Dragon of the Gods — Grant my wish, pretty please!” and submit your adoption application at the MAS website!

Virgil is an 11 pound, 15 year old Yorkshire Terrier with an adorable tiny face and beautiful tan and brown markings. He is an incredibly sweet old boy with the best heart; we just love him. Virgil is experiencing the typical older pup changes: slowly losing his hearing and vision, he’s had several teeth removed, he still prefers a physical newspaper to the online version, and he wears very large sunglasses while driving. But despite these changes, he’s so full of love. Virgil is crate trained and trying his best with his house training (he’s 15). He does well with cats, dogs and respectful children. Virgil is neutered and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $175. To adopt Virgil apply online today.
Second Chance Cats of West Michigan
Second Chance Cats is a 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission to help cats at municipal shelters who are at risk for euthanasia or were deemed unadoptable because of behavioral or medical issues. The group also works with other private rescues that are overcrowded and helps rehome cats that have been assessed as friendly when going through the trap-neuter-return process. Here is their pet of the week.

Claudia and Paris are two very sweet kitties who have been together a very long time. We think that Claudia may be Paris’s mother. For this reason, they need to be adopted together. These girls need an adopter who will give them time to open up and adjust to their new home.
Paris has a special love for the CatDancer toy – it’s like her own enchanted wand! Watching her pounce and twirl with joy is guaranteed to brighten your day. The way she gracefully swats at it, pounces with precision, and unleashes her inner huntress is nothing short of mesmerizing.
Her delicate paws and inquisitive eyes tell a tale of a feline soul with a penchant for adventure, and the CatDancer is her trusted sidekick in this whimsical journey.
Paris has a unique way of stealing hearts with her gentle demeanor and those soulful, wise eyes. Despite her initial shyness, she easily makes friends with her feline roommates
Claudia may be a bit shy at first, but don’t let that fool you – she’s an expert observer who delights in watching the hustle and bustle of the world around her. From the comfort of her quiet corner, she’s the ultimate feline spectator, taking in all the activities in the room with a pair of beautiful, soulful eyes.
Claudia’s Qualities:
Graceful and elegant demeanor
Enjoys observing her surroundings
Loves cozy hideaways
Ideal Home:
Claudia is seeking a patient and loving home where she can take her time to adjust at her own pace. She would thrive in a tranquil environment where she can feel secure and gradually open up to her new family.
Claudia has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She has an approximate birthdate of October, 2022. Paris has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She has an approximate birthdate of May, 2023. Their adoption fee together is $215.
