Hello Homes GR Realtor Focuses on Lowell Community

The real estate industry ebbs and flows with the economy, seasons, and vibrancy of location where homes and business buildings are purchased and sold.   Jen Connor, a local real estate agent with Hello Homes GR and Lowell resident, is featuring local businesses in her Lowell Community Spotlight series.

Entering Real Estate
A team of realtors who previously worked under other brokers decided to take a leap, following in the footsteps of Ashley Dietch.  In November 2017 Dietch became the Broker/Owner of Hello Homes GR.  Working with her realtor experience of seven years, she has developed a business where she and her team take pride in introducing individuals and families to their new homes or prepare them for saying goodbye to a home when leaving.

Conner has been a realtor for about a year and a half.  She left a corporate job, after feeling unfulfilled, to enter a career helping others. “Helping people is one of my greatest passions. I love to see people smile and laugh and be genuinely happy.” she says with a smile.  Working in real estate, Conner is able to get to know people as individuals. She says this personal level communication is one of the highlights of her job.  Becoming part of the Hello Homes GR team felt like a natural step, as the company’s professionals, passion, and dedication to clients spoke to her.

Featuring Lowell
While Conner services the greater Grand Rapids area, she calls Lowell home.  She and her husband, along with their six-year old son, have lived in Lowell for nearly three years.  And she has no plans on moving away. Her love of the area inspired the Lowell Community Spotlight series, where each week a new business is featured.  She visits with the owner(s) and conducts a short video interview. The final question of each chat asks, “What do you think the best thing is about being in the Lowell community?”

The spotlight series was introduced in February on Conner’s business Facebook page.  “It has been a very rewarding project getting to know some of the local business owners, hear their stories, and learn how dedicated they are to this community.” says Conner.  Each Tuesday, a new video is released and typically teaser photos are posted a day or two before to generate interest. Springrove Variety, Rookies, and most recently Red Barn Antiques and Consignments have been among featured businesses.  The purpose of each video is to showcase businesses to those in and out of the community. Perhaps some who live in Lowell didn’t realize a certain business existed. And those new to the area or looking to move to Lowell will be given another avenue to see what is available.  Conner looks to begin including community organizations and individuals in addition to businesses in the future.

Come Say Hello!
On Monday, March 26, Hello Homes GR, in conjunction with Alliance Financial and Insurance Agency, will celebrate Oberon launch day at Main Street BBQ.  The community is invited to stop in between 12pm-1pm or 5:30pm-6:30pm and enjoy the first beer free of charge. Conner’s husband works for Bell’s Brewery so she has a connection.  Launch day is yet another signal Spring has arrived. Members from Hello Homes and Alliance we be available to chat, but the purpose of the event is to bring members of the community together.

Connor hopes this will enable community members to meet and get to know each other or provide the opportunity for those who haven’t recently been in touch to run into each other.  She’s sure to point out, “We love to meet new people in our community and talk with them and hear some of their stories without them having to worry about a hidden agenda.” She’s also eager to meet more people in the community which she calls home.

Turning the Tables
We asked Jen what she considers the best thing about being part of the Lowell community.  “During the day, you have hundreds of interactions with people, whether it be at the grocery store, going on a walk with your family, eating out at one of the restaurants or shopping local in our community, and the one thing that stands out, is people in Lowell are amazing!” she replied.  The people of the community tend to be a common thread when it comes to what makes living in and visiting Lowell so attractive. “I love what I do and the community that I do it in. Lowell is truly a unique and special place to be!!”

When buying or selling a home, finding the right person to work with is important.  Jen is more than happy to talk with anyone looking to start the process to see if she would be a good fit.
