New Lowell Boutique Focuses on Flattering Fashions

There is a new clothing store in town, and women who are looking for styles that will flatter their waistline will find a variety of items selected with them in mind.

Bella Grace Boutique will have an official grand opening later this spring, but customers won’t have to wait to get inside. The shop, located at 102 W. Main Street over the Flat River, is already open for business on Tuesdays-Saturdays. Plus, orders can be placed on the store’s website 24/7.

“We focus on making women feel confident about themselves in the body God gave them,” explains owner Christa Bromley. To that end, the boutique stocks trendy styles that can be worn by a variety of body types in sizes ranging from XS to 3X.

Private Label Fashions Now, Exclusive Designs in the Future

Bromley and her husband have a blended family of eight children, including 2-year-old twins. It was while she was at home with the twins that Bromley’s plans for Bella Grace Boutique began to take shape. Although her background is in web design and social media marketing, the Lowell resident has always loved fashion.

“I knew, one day, I’d want to own my own business,” Bromley explains. With her love of clothes, a boutique seemed like the perfect fit. She named it after her daughter Bella Grace and began by selling online and at pop-up shops last July.

Those early sales were so successful that Bromley began looking for a location for a permanent shop. While opening a storefront during a pandemic could be risky, she wanted a place for people to see and try on clothing in-person. Plus, as an extrovert, Bromley is excited to be able to greet customers and talk about the latest fashions with them.

Many of the items at the boutique are private label, meaning they bear the Bella Grace name. Bromley says she is very choosy about which products get to carry the boutique’s label.

“We inspect all of our products,” she explains. “We don’t buy products that are super cheap.”

However, that doesn’t mean the prices are exorbitant either. Bromley says most items are priced mid-range with an eye toward keeping everything budget-friendly.

Eventually, Bromley would like to design her own clothing for the boutique. Her dream is to have a warehouse full of fashion that can be shipped to customers around the country while still maintaining a storefront boutique for local customers here in Lowell.

Trendy Clothes for Confident Women

As a mother, Bromley is well aware of how clothing that may have looked great pre-children are no longer flattering. For instance, some form-fitting fashions don’t always fit as well after kids and are liable to make some women feel self-conscious.

That’s why she pays special attention to selecting clothes that will flatter women who may no longer have their high school or college waistline. “Most of our clothing is pretty flowy in the middle,” she notes.

While there are plenty of long flowing tops to be found at Bella Grace Boutique, shoppers will also find tank tops, skinny jeans, leggings and more. Regardless of their size, Bromley hopes all women will find something that meets their needs at the boutique.

Although Grace is the middle name of Bromley’s daughter, the word also has a deeper meaning. The Christian concept of grace can encompass many things including kindness, compassion and acceptance, and Bromley hopes that everyone who comes into Bella Grace Boutique will experience a sense of grace and welcoming.

She sums it up this way: “That’s what we really want people to feel here…[that] you are all loved.”
