The Designs are Always Fresh at this Lowell Business

Since opening for business in 2017, Always Fresh Design has become many companies’ go-to source for customized products ranging from mugs to mousepads to sweatshirts.

“We do a lot of construction hats,” notes owner Liz Manszewski.

That may be because word of mouth drives sales for Always Fresh Design, but it certainly isn’t only construction companies who have discovered Manszewski’s quality work. She has also produced custom items for local retail stores, school groups and families. What’s more, Manszewski creates her own products to sell during Christmas Through Lowell.

“One-Woman Show” Here in Lowell

Manszewski graduated from Lowell High School in 2008 and then went to Grand Valley State University to study graphic design. After earning her degree, she found employment in Grand Rapids.

“Then I had children, and babysitting is really expensive,” says Manszewski, who is married to her high school sweetheart – another Lowell grad.

Rather than quit her career, Manszewski bought the necessary equipment and set up shop in her home. Today, she’s a “one-woman show” who can print on practically anything that is textile and can also make hard-surfaced items such as mugs. In addition to direct-to-film printing and embroidery, she has recently branched out into sublimation as well.

“Keeping it local is something really important,” according to Manszewski. While she could run her business anywhere, she and her husband like living in Lowell and appreciate the hometown feel here.

Pride in Michigan is also what inspired her business name. Manszewski selected Always Fresh Design in honor of the state’s Great Lakes and their freshwater.

Design and Printing in One Place

While many Always Fresh clients already have a design, Manszewski can help create logos if needed.

“I’d love to help create the design,” she says. “I like bringing people’s ideas to life.”

After all, that’s why she decided to study graphic design in the first place. She says she’s always been artsy and describes her personal style as “boho.” Manszewski gravitates toward designs that have an earthy vibe or feature elements from nature such as bees. Her personal design work can be found on mugs, coasters and other items that she sells during Christmas Through Lowell at a booth at the fairgrounds.

Orders from Always Fresh Design can be delivered locally or shipped to customers who are out of the area. Follow the business on Facebook or Instagram to see examples of Manszewski’s latest work or stop by her website for further information.
