FROM Hosts Live Action Clue Event

The popular whodunit board game, and movie if you grew up a handful of decades ago, will be set to live action at Flat River Outreach Ministries (FROM) on Tuesday, June 11 from 6:30pm-8:30pm.  Families with children ages 8 and above are welcome to participate in this free event.  Teams will walk through the FROM building searching for clues while learning facts about the non-profit organization.  At the end, guesses can be made as to who, what, and where. Prizes will be handed out and light refreshments will be served.  While the event is free, an RSVP is required by June 10 to help with final coordination for the event.

Was it Wadsworth in the DYI Room with the Food Fight Bucket?

Some of the FROM staff came up with the idea to bring Clue to life after commenting how the building looked like a board game.  “We thought Clue would be a great family friendly game that could draw all ages, and would be a fun way to integrate different facts and information about our programs into a fun game.” says Development Director Arianne Hall, who also loves crime shows and murder mystery dinners and suggested the event be used to celebrate the end of Food Fight.  Totals are in for this year’s Food Fight and North earned bragging rights until the next friendly competition.

Clues will be hidden in each room and characters will help solve the crime.  Dress is casual but participants are encouraged to dress like their favorite detectives to help get into a detective frame of mine.

People will have 45 minutes to an hour to go through the building and collect clues which will help solve the mystery.  As teams finish there will be an opportunity for them to make a guess at whodunit. Once all of the teams have finished a winner will be announced and prized will be handed out.  There will also be an opportunity to have some snacks and socialize with others.  Will any of these characters be able to help you solve the mystery?

RSVP to Save Your Spot

While the event is free, registration is required so FROM knows how many people to anticipate and can have enough snacks for everyone.  Spots can be reserved online or by calling (616) 897-8260 no later than June 10.  Just like the game, this event is for anyone 8 years old or above.  There is still plenty of room for participants to join in the fun.

The evening is open to the public whether you’ve been involved in any of FROM’s programs as a recipient or volunteer or know nothing about the organization.  The event will take place at FROM, located at 11535 Fulton St. East in Lowell.

RSVP so you can become a detective for the evening and attempt to solve a mystery.  “Our Live Action Clue Night is a great way for families and friends to have a free fun night out while learning a little about FROM,” says Hall.
