LowellArts Class: Floral Glass Sun Catcher

Welcome the spring season by making your own brightly colored glass suncatcher! With either a provided pattern or your own imagination and design, use precut glass, frit, and paint to make your suncatcher on a 6 inch piece of clear glass. Your suncatcher will then be fused in the instructor’s kiln and returned to LowellArts for pick up approximately two weeks following the class.

Ages: 13 to Adult
Materials Needed: All materials provided.
Class Fee: $43 ($35 for LowellArts Members). Fee includes materials.

Lisa van Rensburg is a fused glass artist specialized in garden designs. As a mainly self-taught artist, she learned the techniques used in fused glass from various instructors and studied painting and trompe l’oeil at the Alexandria Art League. Lisa has a great understanding of color and uses that to create bright glass art that she would want in her own garden.
