Press Release: City of Lowell to Hold Virtual City Council Meeting

We received the following press release from the City of Lowell. City Manager Mike Burns says the April 6 meeting will also likely be livestreamed on social media as usual, but those watching the livestream may not see councilmembers who will all be participating from home via Zoom.

 

Lowell, Michigan, March 31, 2020 – As a result of COVID -19 and the current social distancing practices being mandated statewide, the Lowell City Council will hold their next City Council meeting via teleconferencing on Monday April 6, 2020 at 7:00 PM.

The City Council will meet via the Zoom Computer Teleconferencing System. The meeting will be held in compliance with Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020 -15 pertaining to the ability to conduct public meetings remotely. The Zoom application allows for interactive public participation. The meeting will be available to those via online and/or telephone. Guidelines to using Zoom will be placed on our website and social media page in the upcoming days.
