Much like Anakin Skywalker, the force is strong with me.

For real….I am a beefcake! Don’t worry, I have not gone to the dark side, a lot of my beefcakiness is put to use holding my bed down. But anyone who is foolish enough to underestimate my strength and challenge me to a tug game will get a taste of the true chosen one!

I am a fun-loving good boy; but it is fair to say there is a bit of puppy escapade inside me at times. Practicing the righteous ways of the Jedi has been an amazing pastime for me to keep me on the light side. I love going for walks through the galaxy (really, it’s been the scenic grounds at MAS, but a guy can dream right?). With continued Padawan training from an Obi-Wan Kenobi of my own, we can harness the force to positive outlets for me! Which honestly, I am so treat and reward motivated that with consistency, I am sure I could be a Jedi in no time!

I am a fairly sociable guy, I have made some canine friends here at MAS, and when I met a cat I was more interested in playing with my rope toy than befriending it.

Meet Steve. At just shy of 100 pounds and about 2 years old, he’s ready to find a permanent place of his own. This guy is a happy, playful dude who loves to parade his toys around! He does well with a rough and tumble female playmate. But his favorite thing ever … literally just being next to people. He will sit right in front of you to take every opportunity for all the pets possible. If a 100 pound dog could be a lap dog, that’s Steve. He didn’t have the best start in life so, unfortunately, he’s heartworm positive. (*Steps on soap box* Please keep your dogs on heartworm preventatives!) What does that mean for you? It means you foster him while he undergoes treatment for this at no cost to you … And then when he gets the all clear in a couple of months, he’s yours to adopt! You can apply to adopt or foster this most handsome man, apply online.

Fred showed up at a woman’s house who works for a trap, spay/neuter program in a county north of here. It was discovered after being altered that he was FIV+. At the time he was trapped, Fred had an abscess on his paw, was underweight, and wasn’t grooming himself. After the woman took him in, Fred made big progress – the abscess healed, he gained weight and gained confidence! We were able to take this sweet boy in.

Meet Fred, the Feline Ambassador of Love! This handsome orange tabby is the epitome of sweetness and gentleness, with a heart as big as his purrs. Fred is on a mission to spread love, one paw at a time, and he’s looking for some furry and human friends to join him on his journey!

Fred’s affectionate nature knows no bounds – he adores attention from his human companions and will gladly soak up every cuddle and chin scratch you’re willing to give. With his soft fur and soulful eyes, he’s sure to steal your heart in an instant.

But Fred’s love doesn’t stop there! He’s also eager to make friends with other cats, always approaching with a friendly purr and a gentle nudge. He believes in the power of friendship and is ready to embrace any feline pal who crosses his path.

If you’re looking for a loving companion who will fill your days with warmth and affection, look no further than Fred!

FIV+ cats like Fred can live long and healthy lives like their non-FIV friends. They can also live with non-FIV cats, as he does here at the center.

Fred has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped His adoption fee is $95. Fred has an approximate birthdate of February, 2019.

Apply to adopt Fred here.

Meet Otis, the sweetest orange tabby with a heart as warm as his fur! Despite a shy demeanor, Otis is a true cuddlebug who absolutely adores pets and scratches behind the ears. He may be a bit reserved at first, but once he warms up to you, he’ll be your loyal companion forever.

Don’t let his old injury on the right eye fool you – Otis is a resilient feline who sees the world with love and curiosity. His injury doesn’t need any further treatment, but it adds to his unique charm.

Otis gains confidence from, and loves other cats so he will need to go to a home with another friendly cat.

Otis is FIV+ but can live as long and healthy of a life as his non-FIV friends. Cats who have FIV can live with non-FIV cats, as they do here at the center.

Otis has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Otis has an approximate birthdate of January, 2021. His adoption fee is $95.
