Monica is our Client Service Coordinator and this week we get to know her more through Fun with FROM! Like many of our staff, Monica first got connected to FROM by volunteering! Let’s learn a little more about her:
How did you get involved with FROM?
I volunteered during Christmas distribution years ago. When a position became available at FROM, I was looking to make a change in my career. I was really excited to see a position open up in my community that fit with my degree and experience and allowed me to interact with families and individuals in my local community.
What is it about the mission of FROM is so important to you?
FROM’s mission is “to be the Greater Lowell community hub where hope, resources, and gifts are shared.” I love that FROM is a resource, support and a source of hope to our community. The people I interact with every day are inspirational, strong and resilient – neighbors, coworkers, and volunteers alike!
What do you love about the Greater Lowell Community?
I love the way our community rallies together to help their neighbors.
What’s a random fact about yourself?
I am a The Walking Dead series fan.
