GRIDCARD Week 49 Recap
Game 98: Purdy Good
Last year’s Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy, continues to prove his real worth, filling in effectively for Jimmy Garoppolo and leading the San Francisco 49ers to a 21-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Purdy completed 17/26 for 219 yards and two touchdowns. On the GridCard, Kevin K (38) and Jkloo (38) finished King of the Mountain. Jkloo won for the third time this season. It was Kevin K’s first KOTM of the year.
Gm98 played loose, allowing thirteen other Qualifying Scores: AK (37), MW (36), JD (36), Dano (35), MMc (34), Zeke (34), Heart of a Hooligan (33), EricCinTexas (33), Teunesto (33), Jeep Lover 2 (32), Rico (32), Nutmeg (31), and Butch (31). The King Kong for winning the week went to maryalene (74).
The OG scored well in Team GridCard, beating Fictionasy 73-70 behind Kevin K (38) and Dano (35). The PGT tied the OG for high score, edging out VBar 73- 69, AK (37) and MW (36) earning Top2. EricCinTexas (33) and Jeep Lover 2 (32) led Team Collins to the win over TMac 65-61, keeping them on top of the league along with Team Detwiler–a 62-43 winner who got scoring from Heart of a Hooligan (33) and amcmayonnaise (29) to beat LFL.

Game 97: Razorback Loaded
After leading the entire first half, the Oklahoma Sooners relinquished the lead with a minute left and never regained it from the Razorbacks, falling 88-78 in the Big-12/SEC matchup. Four Arkansas players scored in double figures, including Ricky Council IV with 26 and Nick Smith Jr. with 21. Grant Sherfield led the Sooners with 23.
On the GridCard, the Arkansas cover was maryalene’s (44) only blemish. She just missed the Mirror, Mirror but earned her third King of the Mountain this football season. The GridCard played very tight, allowing only four other Qualifying Scores: KMac (35), Dano (31), Go Bucs (30), and Offroad (29).
LFL had the top score in Team GridCard, beating Team Detwiler 65-50 behind maryalene (44) and ElmerGlueGun (21). The OG played spoiler against Fictionasy, just edging the playoff contender 58-56, Dano (31) and Kevin K (27) leading the way. TMac topped Team Collins 64-51, KMac (35) and Offroad (29) the Top2. And VBar beat a sliding PGT 52-46, Butch (26) and LD (28) scoring for the V.
