Halloween Happenings in Lowell Michigan 2023

Halloween is right around the corner, and there are a variety of activities planned by Lowell organizations. Here’s a look at a few:

Rookies Halloween “Trick or Read”
Saturday, October 28, from 10am-5pm

Get a free comic as part of the Halloween “Trick or Read” event at Rookies Sportscards Plus, located at 106 W. Main Street.

Come grab a free Marvel comic with no purchase necessary and while supplies last.

Halloween Pet Photos at Tractor Supply Company
Saturday, October 28, from 11am-1pm

Pet owners can get a free photo of their four-legged friend at Tractor Supply Company, located at 2111 W. Main Street.

Feel free to dress up your pet, but a costume isn’t required for this offer.

“Fall” into Fun Festival at First Baptist Church of Lowell
Saturday, October 28, from 1-3pm

There is family fun to be had at the “Fall” into Fun Festival being hosted by the First Baptist Church, located at 2275 W. Main Street.

The event will include inflatables, games with prizes, cider, popcorn, cotton candy and plenty of candy.

Halloween Carnival and Trunk-or-Treat at Red Barn Market
Saturday, October 28, from 2-5pm

The annual Halloween Carnival is back at Red Barn Market, located at 3550 Alden Nash Ave NE.

Admission is $8 per person for everyone age 2 or older. Some activities may have additional costs.

Children’s Halloween Festival at Lowell United Methodist Church
Saturday, October 28, from 4-6pm

Back for a second year is a Children’s Halloween Festival being hosted by the BLAST Youth Group from Lowell United Methodist Church, located at 621 E. Main Street.

The event will feature Halloween-themed carnival games, a trunk-or-treat and a photo booth.

Saturday, October 28, from 5-8pm

The Lowell Area Fire Department is holding its annual open house and trunk-or-treat event at the fire station at 315 S. Hudson Street.

The evening will include games, fire truck rides, car seat safety checks and free bike flags, donuts and, of course, candy.

Sunday, October 29, from 6-9pm

The annual Community Halloween Trunk-or-Treat hosted by Capital Nails promises to be even bigger and better this year. They will be set up in the Tractor Supply Company parking lot at 2111 W. Main Street.

The event includes candy, yard games, local vendors, prizes and more.

Teen Zone: Halloween Costume Party at Englehardt Library
Monday, October 30, from 4:30-6:30pm

Kids between the ages of 11-17 are invited to a Halloween costume party at the Englehardt Library, located at 200 N. Monroe Street.

Participants will be able to decorate mini-pumpkins, make wearable claws and, of course, eat candy.

The littlest Lowell residents might enjoy this special event at the Englehardt Library, located at 200 N. Monroe Street.

Trick-or-Treating at Green Acres
Tuesday, October 31, from 4-6pm

Your kids can load up on candy and spread good cheer at the same time by trick-or-treating at Green Acres, located at 11530 Fulton Street.

There will be donuts, cider and games too. Donations of candy are welcome as well.

Trunk-or-Treat at Impact Church
Tuesday, October 31, from 5-7pm

After Green Acres, head down the street for the trunk-or-treat at Impact Church, located at 11840 Fulton Street.

This annual event includes lots of candy and some other activities too.

Trunk-or-Treat at Lowell Church of the Nazarene
Tuesday, October 31, from 5:30-8pm

The Lowell Church of the Nazarene is another stop for a trunk-or-treat on Halloween night.

You’ll find the church at 201 N. Washington, one block north of Main Street.

Trick-or-Treating Around Town
Tuesday, October 31, from 5-8pm

The main event is on Tuesday!

If you will be passing out treats, turn on your porch light and get your candy bowl ready. If your kids will be hitting the streets in their costumes, remind them to stick to the walkways and watch carefully for cars.

Trick-or-treat hours can vary by community, but 5-8pm is the generally accepted time frame.

  1. Kdl has an events on Monday and Tuesday. (30/31) Baptist Church has a tall festival on Saturday late afternoon. Impact has trunk or treat on Tuesday 5-8
