The following animals are available for adoption. If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly. Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process. And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional cats, dogs, or farm animals looking for new homes. Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary
Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.
Meet Ace! It’s that time of year again, and Ace is longing for a new home. He has been at MAS for a while now, and keeps getting passed up in adoption meetings. Always the Best Man never the Groom. He is a little bit shy, but loves older kids and running, and playing in the pond, and taking long walks and just hanging out with the family. He is best as an only dog, although he did come in with his sister Olive….he is better without other dogs to much in his face.
Meet Olive! Olive is a beautiful, cuddly and smart female Boxer/Terrier/Mix. Her D.O.B. is 08/03/10. She came in with Ace who looks just like her – possibly from the same litter. While Olive loves to go on long walks, she also loves to lay in the sunshine – preferably with the company of her humans! She can also be very playful, and likes to play fetch. Olive knows her commands and is working on perfecting them. Olive has done well on her kid intros. She would prefer to the be the only pet in the home. Please come and see her soon.
Carol’s Ferals
Carol’s Ferals specializes in trap, neuter, return (TNR), but they come across “friendlies” who are available for adoption. Here are their pets of the week.
Hi, my name is Meringue. I am on the shy side, so most people overlook me. I love to be petted and brushed, and I will sometimes meow to get your attention. Volunteers think I may blossom in a home of my own.
Keanu is the name, attention getting is my game. When I want to, I can be a lap cat. I love being petted, and I promise to let you know when I’ve had enough attention. I’m definitely not a shy boy.
I’m Q-Tip! See what a handsome guy I am? I’m named after the white tip on my tail. I have a lot of energy and love to play. Not thrilled with other cats – too much competition – but may do well with another cat or dog.
