PARTNERSHIP CONTINUES IN LOWELL TO HELP DEPLOYED SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN
Lowell and Ionia, Michigan November
Now in its 8th year, WION Radio, Ionia’s “Treasures for Troops” continues in Lowell!
The Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce and WION Radio (100.3 FM) along with Lowell High School’s WRWW Radio station (92.3 FM) and the Lowell Area Schools are teaming up to help collect items to be sent to deployed servicemen and women again this year!
While the broadcast from Lowell is in Mid-November, the purchasing and collecting of items can start NOW! You may bring items to Lowell High School office, The WRWW radio room, the Lowell Middle School office, and the Lowell Area Chamber anytime!
WION Radio (100.3 in Lowell) and the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce are excited to team once again in this effort, and WION will broadcast from the Lowell Chamber offices on Friday November 19th and has invited Lowell High School radio students to join in the fun as the town prepares for the Christmas season. During the broadcast WION will take donations and pick up items previously donated! The collection of items will be packaged by Blue Star Mothers Chapter 188 of Ionia, Kent, and Montcalm Counties, and sent to deployed soldiers.
WION will broadcast from the Lowell Chamber offices on Friday November 19th to help kick off “Christmas Through Lowell!” The list of needs for soldiers can be found at www.i1430.com for download, distribution and use when shopping. Please help spread the needs list to others so our collections for members of the military is successful again this year! Monetary donations are welcomed for shipping or shopping, checks should be made out to “Blue Star Mothers MI-188” and can be given to LACC for WION, or mailed to: PO box 366, Lakeview, MI 48850.
