Furry Friday

The following animals are available for adoption.  If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly.  Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process.  And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional cats, dogs, or farm animals looking for new homes.   Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

For additional information about each organization visit their websites or read our intro article to Furry Friday!

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

My name is Pretty Paisley! I am one sweet little girl. I love to kiss and kiss my favorite people. My D.O.B. is 8/03/15. I am still a youngster. I would love to have a loving home with a giant yard to run around and get my sniff on. I do not do well in a crate, so please do not put me in one. I am best with a baby gate to a safe area. I love my family so much, I hate to be alone, so a retired Mom or Dad, or a family that may have their own business would be great. I also would do well with a sibling.

Rowdy Riker is still just a pup. He has lots of energy to harness. His D.O.B. is 11/06/16. He needs an active home, and someone who can work with him on manners, and commands. He settles really well in the adoption coordinators office. He is super friendly and loving. He just needs a fun and loving home.

Carol’s Ferals

Carol’s Ferals specializes in trap, neuter, return (TNR), but they come across “friendlies” who are available for adoption. Here are their pets of the week.

My name is Fredricka, but you can call me Freddie or Lady Fred like some volunteers do.  I’m a lap cat extraordinaire.  I am somewhat shy and fearful of cats and dogs, but love humans, petting, and laps.  I would probably do okay with one of my roommates, since I know them.  I am currently at the Happy Cat Café on Division, just south of Wealthy.  If love is what you are looking for, come sit on the floor and I’ll curl up in your lap.

Yes, my name is really Minestrone, and I am named after soup.  I’ve grown accustomed to it, so no biggie.  I love to be petted, chase the red dot, and lay around.  Kind of my own cat, like things on my terms.  Santa’s not sure which list I should go on – naughty or nice.

My name is Skywalker.  When I came to CF as a kitten from Lebanon (the country), I stayed on the top shelves like I was walking through the sky.  I am a little shy, affectionate (love being petted), but not cuddly.  Come meet me and get me to purr.
